Donating Books


     If you wish to donate new or used books in good condition to the Queens Library, first contact the Community Library Manager or Assistant Library Manager at your local library. A list of libraries and phone numbers is available on the Queens Library's website: www.queenslibrary.org

     If you have a large quantity of books to donate, it is very important that you make prior arrangements regarding when you can deliver them. You should be aware that if the books cannot be used by our Community Libraries or Central Library, they will be sold with the proceeds going to Queens Library.

     Should you have rare books or first editions to donate, please contact the Executive Director or Associate Director of the Queens Library Foundation to discuss making a special gift.

     *Help us fill Queens Library's shelves. Purchasing new books through Queens Library's Buy-A-Book program allows the library to choose the titles that are most badly needed. You may direct your book(s) to any library location.
